Hi, I'm Arindam
Mechanical engineer turned software builder. Currently at Google.
Based in Bengaluru, India. Building apps that people actually use.
The short version
I studied mechanical engineering in Nagpur. Then I pivoted to software because I found building apps more exciting than building machines. Best decision I ever made.
After 9+ years in the industry โ from teaching engineering students to building apps at Google โ I've worn many hats: developer, tech lead, architect. But the one that fits best? Builder.
The longer version
Started as an engineer (the other kind)
Diploma and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Tripura and Nagpur. Even taught at a polytechnic for a year. But software was calling.
Made the pivot to software
Started with Python and Django. Then Android, iOS, and eventually Flutter. Found my groove building mobile apps that solve real problems.
Grew into leading teams
Led teams at DocPulse and LYIK. Learned that the best code means nothing if your team can't maintain it. Started caring about people as much as patterns.
Now at Google
Working on Google TV with Flutter and Java. Building AI-powered search recommendations. Still pinching myself sometimes.
What drives me
Solving real problems
From healthcare to government to blockchain โ I gravitate towards problems that matter.
Clean, maintainable code
Code is read more than written. I obsess over clean architecture and SOLID principles.
Mentoring others
Top contributor on Stack Overflow. Led training sessions. Mentored 10+ junior developers. Teaching is learning twice.
Continuous learning
Currently exploring AI/ML integration in mobile apps. The day I stop learning is the day I stop being useful.
What I work with
Mobile
Flutter, Dart, Kotlin, Java, Android
Frontend
React.js, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Backend
Python, Django, Node.js, REST APIs, gRPC

Languages I speak
When I'm not coding...
"The best career decisions are the ones that scare you a little."
